Genealogical research at the MND

The museum gathers over 200 personnel registers, although they are not continue or homogeneous. They mainly cover the customs directorates of Bayonne, Bordeaux, Boulogne, Chambéry, Charleville, Dunkerque, Le Havre, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Mulhouse, Nantes, Paris and Valenciennes.
In these books you can find the whole carrier of customs agents.
Many of these books are restored, binded and scanned. During the process, the information contained is extracted to help research.
A data base has been implemented in that regard and is continuously enriched with all new data.
Take note it is not the aim of the CDH to archive all documentation from the customs administration !
